"Pissanthropist"[Chris Rehm]
Someone who pisses liquid gold into a good
cause. Not to be confused with "shitanthrobrick", someone who
shits bricks of gold for the same purpose. The shitanthrobrick
sometimes takes a laxative, in which case the receiver must "pan for gold"
bouillon.
In Shitanthrobricks cases, with or without the laxative, the
receiver is required to handle the "clean up detail". This includes the
disbursement of toilet paper and the actual "ass wipe", in order to attain said
rewards. In the event that Shitanthrobrick does take the laxative, a
substantially increased amount of "ass wiping" is required, much to the chagrin
and consternation of the recipient. This is in addition to the actual
"panning process", which also can be tedious and quite aromatic.
With Pissanthropist and Shitanthrobricks often the reason for the donations is a tax
write-off. Shitanthrobricks are more prone to get involved in the investment
procedure than Pissanthropist. When the investment is not going quite as
hoped for, the Shitanthropist ingests laxatives.
In the event that Pissanthropist ends up in the same situation, he
usually directs his stream at his recipient. This process is referred to
as "Pissed on".

Napster Appeals - What People Are Missing
[McClure & Trowbridge Publishing]
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Napster Inc. must halt the sharing of copyrighted recordings by millions of music lovers who swap songs through its free Internet-based service, a federal appeals court ruled Monday . . .
The digital music technology Napster made popular is here to stay either way. The recording industry appears stymied by the notion of funneling music to consumers via the Internet for a price while freely available computer applications allow even the computer novice to do it for free.

The Threat To 'Little Guy' Internet Earnings
[McClure & Trowbridge Publishing]
Probably you know that your BMI, ASCAP, or SESAC membership as a songwriter does not guarantee your song is paid royalties when it's recorded and released. Why is this?
BMI and ASCAP carved up the money pot a long time ago. These organizations collect airplay (radio) and performance (TV, clubs, arenas, festivals) royalty payments from radio stations and venues. The monies are paid out to songwriters and publishers of the songs.
The only problem is, only the top charting songs and writers are paid any royalties.

Greatest Threat To Freedom Of Speech Since Hitler
Robert Pullman, CEO Pullman Inc.

"What we have here, is a situation that is the greatest threat to freedom of speech in this country since Hitler. This situation began with the Dig Mill [Digital Millenium] Act....take a gander through the act and read it carefully.
You will find that it violates freedom of expression, freedom of movement, and freedom
of speech."

Napster and RIAA Court Update
[McClure & Trowbridge Publishing]
Most people are still failing to compare the Napster vs. RIAA issue to
the cassette duplication battles of the 1970's when RIAA feared loss
of revenue by private copying and sharing of music in cassette format.
The digital format today is in a similar position to cassettes two and

RIAA to Enter $400 Million Music Licensing Business
by Mark Lewis [Webnoize] See Also
Expanding far beyond its role as a powerful lobbying group, the Recording
Industry Association of America (RIAA) is making a major move to enter the
music licensing business, potentially collecting and distributing more money
than performing rights groups Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) and the American
Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) combined.
Songwriters and publishers already have the right to collect royalties on
webcast music; federal legislation in the '90s extended that right to record
companies that hold the copyrights to the sound recordings.
However, it is a little known legal fact that the RIAA does not have an
exclusive right to control royalty distribution for those performances. And
critics are concerned that there will not be sufficient oversight over the RIAA's
activities, and that record companies may not pay artists their cut of
webcasting royalties.
